SIPs Slack

Status Improvement Proposals (SIPs) describe standards for the Status platform, including core protocol specifications, client APIs, and contract standards.

Contributing

First review SIP-1. Then clone the repository and add your SIP to it. There is a template SIP here. Then submit a Pull Request to Status's SIPs repository.

SIP status terms

  • Draft - an SIP that is open for consideration
  • Accepted - an SIP that is planned for immediate adoption, i.e. expected to be included in the next hard fork (for Core/Consensus layer SIPs).
  • Final - an SIP that has been adopted in a previous hard fork (for Core/Consensus layer SIPs).
  • Deferred - an SIP that is not being considered for immediate adoption. May be reconsidered in the future for a subsequent hard fork.
